What does Historical Resources Press Consider “HISTORICAL”?

For Historical Resources Press, “Historical” refers to EVIDENCE FROM THE PAST that can be proven as authentic to any person living in the present:

.. An account of an event that happened (either oral or written),
.. any object which was related to an event or owner of an object,
.. and especially any manuscript written by, to or referring to a significant person (often ignored or discarded as insignificant scraps of paper).

What does Historical Resources Press Consider “RESOURCES”?

For Historical Resources Press, “Resources” are places where one might find evidence which can substantiate that an event actually happened, an object was actually owned or used by the particular person, or that the manuscript is not a forgery.

For Historical Resources Press, “Resources” may be found in Libraries, Museums, interviews with people involved, from authors writing about events they experienced or researched, attics, cemeteries, books, old letters … and in unexpected places. We consider our books as “Resources” and are honored that Libraries have included them in their collections, including some in “Reserved” sections of “The Stacks”.

What does Historical Resources Press Consider a “PRESS”?

Historical Resources Press is not a “Printer” though the Owner is the daughter of a printer and was permitted to run one of her father’s printing presses when she was only 10 years old.

Historical Resources Press is the IMPRINT under which materials that our authors write are edited, proofed and sent to a printer or webmaster to be "published" and made available to the general public in readable form: in books, newsletters, newspapers, on microfilm or on the internet.

Since we are a “Small” Publisher, publishing a limited number of books and newsletters that satisfy our standards of what has been thoroughly researched, please contact us before sending any manuscripts. We are:
